Another very fun activity is the 4×4 Adventure. The ATV buggy will take you off-road through some muddy jungle trails and hidden beaches.
I think everyone loves a buggy ride – it is so fun, no wonder this is one of the most popular things to do in Punta Cana! This one is perfect for groups of friends, couples, or solo travelers – unfortunately, no one under 18 is allowed.
Prepare to have loads of fun, some adrenaline rushing through, and you will get covered in mud from head to toe – so don’t wear your nicest clothing!
The ATV Adventure is especially memorable during sunset – a truly epic way to pass the golden hour before heading back to your hotel!

By the time sun sets, these local shops transform into dance floors for the locals that whip out their instruments to create music, whilst the rest dance to the tunes of bachata and merengue. So, when you walk past a local shop in Punta Cana, make sure to stop by and join!
If you’re not the one to dance, you can immerse yourself in the local culture by drinking rum – loads of rum! The Dominican Republic is known to be one of the first countries to produce this incredible liquor, and its rum is considered some of the best in the world.

You won’t have to go far to get to this stunning beauty. The Indigenous Eyes Reserve is found right in the heart of Punta Cana.
This little reserve includes 12 freshwater lagoons colored with all shades of greens and blues. Completely tucked away by forest, it will make you feel like you’re in the middle of a jungle!
There are plenty of easy hiking trails around the reserve where you can spot amazing wildlife. They are quite easy – perfect for people of all ages.
And if you’re wondering why this reserve is called ‘Indigenous Eyes’ – it is because each of the cenotes are shaped like an eye that resembles those of Taíno people – the Indigenous People of the Dominican Republic!
